Community guidelines

  1. Log only what you saw yourself

One sighting per animal encounter. Duplicates and second-hand reports score no points and can be removed.

  2. Use your own photographs

Never upload images you did not take. Stock or scraped photographs are removed and repeat offences cost your ranking.

  3. Identify honestly

AI suggestions are a starting point. If you are unsure, mark the sighting unverified rather than guessing.

  4. Protect locations

Never post precise coordinates, and respect masking on sensitive species.

  5. Be decent to other trackers

Correct identifications kindly. Harassment, gatekeeping and abuse are not tolerated.

  6. Fair play

Automating sightings, sharing quiz answers or creating multiple accounts results in a permanent ban.
